    Electric car manufacturer Polestar is now gearing up to enter the smartphone market. Speculations about its imminent launch have been circulating for some time, but the company has now confirmed the launch of its first smartphone on April 23, putting a stop to the rumors. The phone is named Polestar Phone and is touted by the company as an AI flagship device for the "driver's internet ecosystem." For those unfamiliar, Polestar is a subsidiary of Geely, which reportedly partnered with Meizu for this phone. From the glimpses of the upcoming phone, it seems that the Polestar Phone could be a rebranded version of the Meizu 21 Pro with some minor changes.

     

    Polestar has confirmed that the company's debut phone, the Polestar Phone, will launch on April 23. It has also been revealed that the phone's design is a collaboration between Polestar's global design team based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Meizu's design team. The color of the phone is "Polestar White," with accents of "Swedish Gold," reminiscent of the seat belts and Brembo brakes found in Polestar vehicles. The company states that the packaging and case of the phone are made from environmentally-friendly materials in line with Polestar's zero-carbon goals.

    The Polestar Phone uses NP66 aerospace-grade aluminum for the mid-frame and AG glass with "Soft Sand Crystal Sparkle Process" for the back cover. It features a display with a 2K+ resolution, an aspect ratio of 21:9, and uniform 2.2mm bezels around all sides of the display.

    Teased images suggest a design similar to the Meizu 21 Pro. It's possible that the upcoming Polestar phone could be a rebranded version of Meizu's flagship.

    In this case, we can expect the phone to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 6.79-inch 120Hz LTPO display, and a triple rear camera system with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It may also feature a 5050mAh battery, similar to Meizu phones, with support for fast wired and wireless charging.
